So I figured I'd give writing on this here thing a try for a while. It's probably going to be few and far between, but whatever. Better than letting this domain name lapse even more than it already was.

I'm in a state of pure joy that we've finished filming the fourth episode from the new Mega64 DVD. It was... rough. Really darn rough. It's cool, I mean, the episode looks like a film. A really weird, cheesy film, yes, but a film nonetheless. And it's weird seeing the show look like that- It's like watching your baby suddenly grow up.

I was really impressed by Derrick, he did a great job directing the thing. And writing it... even if it was as we went along! I think that makes it more fun anyway. Derrick's really good at making fast, fun stories. It's really a kick.

And the amount of effort our friends have put in helping with the thing has been amazing. Thanks guys.

I will say this, though- I think the filming process of this episode taught us each a lesson. I think it's somewhat safe to say that none of the Mega64 trio enjoyed the process behind this episode as much as the smaller-scale episodes before it. When it's just us by ourselves, it's just goofing around at home and messing with people in public whenever we feel like it. This episode was schedules, 17 hour days, crews, permits, no permits, locations, locations cancelling, spitting up blood, etc. This could very well be the best episode we've ever made, in the end, but maybe it cost us a little piece of our souls to get it. Is that worth it? Hm.

Well regardless, I'm looking at all the footage in the ol' edit bay right now, and I can already tell this is going to be a blast to edit. I can't wait.

Everything is going great right now. Things are attaining a level of peace again, I've achieved a personal milestone by making it into Nintendo Power, the magazine that taught me to read, and there are a million opportunities on the horizon. That, and Lost comes out on DVD today. Shyeah.
